The 2024 presidential race is intensifying in six key battleground states, with new CNN polls conducted by SSRS revealing a mixed outlook for both Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump. Harris currently leads among likely voters in Wisconsin and Michigan, while Trump has the upper hand in Arizona.

The races in Georgia, Nevada, and Pennsylvania are particularly tight, with the candidates virtually tied, making these states crucial for determining the election outcome.

The polls show that around 15% of likely voters remain undecided, indicating that shifts in voter sentiment could still significantly impact the race as campaign efforts intensify in the final weeks before Election Day.

In specific numbers, Harris leads Trump 50% to 44% in Wisconsin and 48% to 43% in Michigan. Conversely, Trump is ahead in Arizona with 49% compared to Harris' 44%. In Georgia and Nevada, Harris has a slim lead of 48% to Trump’s 47%, while Pennsylvania sees the candidates deadlocked at 47% each.

The results highlight Pennsylvania and Georgia as pivotal states in the Electoral College, with both candidates needing wins in these areas to secure the presidency. Harris could win by holding onto Biden’s 2020 victories in most states and securing Pennsylvania and Michigan, while Trump’s path to victory would be bolstered by wins in Georgia and Pennsylvania, even without Arizona.
